So here locally a school custodian was arrested for having a weapon in his car but according to MO CCW law it is not illegal to have a weapon in your vehicle on school property as long as it doesn't leave the vehicle.

Too little info, says authorities received a tip, could they have been left where they could be seen or did someone call in a “tip” as some sort of prank or revenge.

Found a full story. Turns out he was arrested for drugs and not the guns. (When I saw this on the news they made no mention of drugs.)

Well that was good getting to the bottom of it.
Only thing I was going to suggest was that maybe there was an employer mandated "No guns allowed @ work" type rule where he worked, but drugs will usually do it as well.
