I hope they're never caught. If they are the secondary crime begins-the Judicial "system." Odds are they've been through it before. Hopefully these lowlifes will ply their trade on the wrong person and be dispatched.

Sad. The murderers are still at-large. Hopefully they will be caught soon.
Lessons learned ...
- If being capable of withstanding armed assailant(s) is desirable: be armed, even at home.
- Firing your own gun until the threat no longer exists.
- Have hardened doors/windows and an early-warning mechanism that can effectively buy time in the event of a perimeter breach; have as many layered defenses as you can afford, to guard the home while sleeping. It gets awfully tough to defend against armed intrusion if you're caught unawares.
Your best weapon is your brain. Don't leave home without it.
Thoughts: Justifiable self defense.
Explain: How does disarming victims reduce the number of victims?

A very sad ending, but the man should have armed himself. I know so many people who think guns are a stupid idea.
I'm sure many of them would call me crazy for always being armed.
I worry about many individuals I know who may become 'victims' because they think it will never happen to me.
We are constantly reading about these terrible stories of robberies, home invasions, and car-jackings...it isn't going to stop.
As our economy heads into the toilet, things will only get worse. Many times, these victims finally wise up...after the fact.
I guess 'after the fact' is better than 'never', hopefully, after doesn't include a lost life.
Stay armed...stay alert...stay safe!
