BAD -- You know the sign that says no tracer ammo at the gun range???

Well, based on the story, an idiot went and ruined a very popular range in Dallas and further limited the choice of ranges for everyone else. Nice job, knucklehead...

There's always that one guy who has to ruin it for everyone else.

About 8-9 years ago, a guy shot a black powder pistol in the indoor range at Bass Pro Shops in Grapevine and started a fire. What's wrong with people???

I'm a member of an indoor range that is open 24 hours a day. It has limits to the type and caliber of guns are okay to shoot. From time to time some idiot will show up with a gun that is way out of the safety limits of the range. I don't understand why people are so stupid and uncaring. I feel for those in Dallas who lost their range. I hope they rebuild soon.

Hope that knucklehead is held responsable for his stupidity and has to pay for it as well.

I don't know if this was the case or not, but I bought a bunch of .30-06 from the CMP and have found a couple of tracers in the first 100 rounds. The rules at the range I belong to say no tracers too but I can't help if there is a few mixed in with the regular milsurp ammo.

Arson, property damage, inventory damage, risking the lives of others, etc. - it's gonna be interesting to see what comes of this.

You mean you don't look at the ammo you load?

All military tracer and other specialty rounds are identified by different-colored bullet tips. I think if your range has a no tracers rule, it behooves you to know what yoy're shooting.
