I love pig hunting; adding an automatic weapon and a helicopter would make it even more fun!

Wild hogs are a serious and dangerous problem. I have a buddy who's killed about 14 in the last few months and our freezers are full. Sunday afternoon, I was snacking on a rib cage that was the best cue I've ever had.

What better way to feed people that need it.

For those who are concerned about this looking like a brazen stunt that will hurt our cause, I say "who cares". It's like being ashamed of going to church, or telling the truth.

Anyone who thinks this is a stunt that will hurt our cause has no clue how many hogs there are in Texas. Ted could spend the rest of his days, and all of his money, flying around in that helicopter and he'd run out of funds or die of old age before he'd run out of pigs.

I'm going hog hunting in a few weeks; wonder if Ted woud let me borrow his kit for a weekend

Unfortunately, I think some of your hogs have wandered up I-20 to our patch. There's wild pigs that poverty-stricken farmers let go, and then there are those ferocious beasts that ya'll have. We're starting to see more and more of the latter.

Those nasty ones are a prolific bunch. Maybe they just wanted to see the East coast and get some good southern barbecue while they are there.

My AR15 rig is my hog rifle. They reproduce faster than we can kill them (or trap them) and they are becoming more wary and venturing inside city limits as well.

According to the TV. Pigs are flying on aircraft in the coach section. They are not allowed to use their i-phones for contacting their insurance Co. though. But if pigs can fly, they can go anywhere.

AR15 makes for a wonderful hog rifle. Walking into the brush after a hog, only to realize that you're surrounded by about 20 others will make you appreciate a 30-round magazine real quick.

{edit} I've convinced my buddy to also start carrying a pistol for these occasions when the barrel of the rifle gets caught in the brush. We've had some scary close encounters.

Last Hog I killed was with my FN-FAL at about 30 yards during the last week of deer season.

I'm wanting to go hunting them with my S&W 65-2 this next season

I have mixed emotions about those feral hogs.

One one hand I'd sure like to hunt them for the fun, freezer and grill. On the other, they create so much habitat and crop destruction and can be dangerous.

Here in Tennessee, the TRW is regulating them as precious game animals that will eventually come back to haunt the farmers and cattlemen.
