4 killed at NY shops; police search for suspect - Yahoo! News

Hey with he strict gun laws they have I didn't think this could happen! I mean come on he only is allowed to have 10 rounds in that magazine. Must have been a good shot.

Sorry for the sarcasm, just sick of NY and their superiority complex and their draconian laws.

    Jumping the gun?

"The newspaper reports that officials in the neighboring village of Mohawk, where two other people were killed in a barbershop, seem to think the suspect is still on foot somewhere. Other reports suggest he may have been picked up by a taxi.

A nearby college describes the gunman as being in his 60s, with a white beard and driving a red Jeep Cherokee."

Agreed Palmgopher....there are to many misconceptions, misguided intentions, and plain old ignorance floating around these days. It is saddening to see these things happen, but the other side does not seem to understand that evil truly does exist. It can not be treated, medicated, reasoned with, or even regulated. Simply put, you just can not legislate morality. The acts of evil, such as murder, have already been outlawed and the only thing you have left to do is deal with it head on........and that more often than not means with force of your own.

Santa Claus, just tell the kids to look for Santa Claus people. Shouldn't be too hard to find.

NY'er on the run? Gotta be headed for Florida. And the nearby Remington factory? Surely it will get the blame.

Another tragedy that the media will undoubtedly use as an anti-gun rallying cry. Remington will take a hit, whether or not this lunatic was in any way associated with them. Rather than focusing on how a properly armed citizen might have saved people here, the discussion will be about even more gun legislation. Tragic in so many ways...

Praying for the victims and their families.

Exactly! Why? Why can't we have just one incident make the news in a big way where a decent citizen who happens to be a permit holder stops the carnage, with video to back it up? I mean, I know about the guy that supposedly stopped the Clackamas Mall shooter... but there's no proof, no witnesses... Sure I post stories nearly every day where a home invader is stopped by a good guy with a gun... sometimes it's even a kid with an assault rifle that stops the threat...

But, regular, honest, armed citizens don't get any press... And all the gun stories are the whackos that give us all a bad name... Just once.. just one good national story.... one good story that would shut all the antis up for a while....

wish I could find one... But short of the ones I've posted... or seen posted... there isn't one.
    Rats!
    It could be worse!
    I suppose

Yep, free reign for the BG until caught by LE that could go on for days with no one else having the ability to stop him.

Part of the problem is that when a citizen does step in and stop the carnage, there just isn't any carnage. If the shooter is stopped before he kills anyone or after shooting only one person, it might make the local news but that's about it. People who have the courage to intervene in these situations just don't wait until fifteen or twenty people are shot before they do something. Once that many people have been shot, it's usually the police that arrive and put a stop to it (as in the Ft Hood shooting).

The problem is that the idiot politicians in NY will not draw a logical conclusion from this situation. They will say "we need to lower the capacity even further" or "we need stricter gun laws". They are completely delusional and absolutely closed for reasonable debate.
