Yep, I would rather have my own gun ready and use it. It's silly to have to wrestle a gun away from an intruder to shoot him. And, you can do better at shot placement, no need for a hospital trip.

The only thing I'd suggest is the LEOs not arrest him until released. Once arrested, the department is on the hook for any medical treatment. Guess the BG forgot the 21-foot rule.
