Rape Victim stabs attacker in defense of daughter
It all worked out more or less ok, but a gun would have been handy...
November 7th, 2006 03:05 PM
Yep - sorta OK but she would have probably suffered less injury herself if armed properly from get go.
They think the guy was on meth possibly - which might explain why it took so much to stop him. Glad she at least survived - it could have played out way worse than it did.

Very, very tough lady to say the least! I am amazed what people will go through to protect their young. Too bad she didn't have a firearm handy, it may have saved her the injuries she received.

You don't get between a mother and her child. Good Job on her part.

Good for her! I agree that it is too bad she didn't have a gun. It would have been quick and painless to pull the trigger a couple of times.

Good for her. Lady, if you ever read this: thanks for taking this monster out of the world. You did good.
The story itself infuriates me a little. Someone, somewhere, has decided that stranger rapes are more deadly and more dangerous than assaults by someone the woman knew or recognized. This horrendous assault, when it is compiled into the rape and assault statistics, will be minimalized in just that way.
Worse than that, if she had used a gun instead of a knife, the antis would take this incident and lump it right in with their more likely to kill someone you know than a stranger!!! garbage statistic-lies.
So what if she knew him in high school? So what if she knew him last year, last month, yesterday? He was a deadly threat right then and there.
She did good.

This dirtbag didn't deserve to live...how many others had he bothered?
Never come between a mother and a child...BIG mistake.
I hope that this mom and her child can put this in the history books...it's going to take a long time, if ever!
I'm glad this mom took a 'stab' at self defense...

Good for her for killing this piece of garbage.
