Another Colorado Prosecutor Home Invasion - BG Killed During Attack

This happened Monday night around midnight, I believe it said.

Another Colorado prosecutor's home was forced into by an intruder. Unfortunetely for him, she (the prosecutor and her Sheriff husband) were not the push over the intruder had hoped for.

They (the homeowners) shot the intruder dead after a brief struggle.

I'm not sure how you allow an intruder that you're aware of get to you to "struggle", but at least they subdued the threat.

    Turned out good this time.

Kudos to the residents for being able to withstand the violence.

Suicide by citizen can be a fairly effective form of justice, in a place where a "justice" system isn't working. If that's what it takes, so be it.

Apparently Colorado Prosecutors have become the favourite target of criminals and nut cases.

This one ended well for the Prosecutor, this time.

Colorado's new safer gun laws should be making this situation go away completly. What's the problem here?

You're right, and I was facicious, but there is still a little part of me that doesn't like to see anyone harmed.

I'll be the first to say, that doesn't effect my actions given SD, and especially my family.

But all in all, at the end of the day, I'm happy to see a BG in cuffs on his way to jail rather than a chalk outline. If that makes me weak, or whatever, in the mind of some of you, well that's OK with me.

I'm one of the ccw'ers who think there is as much moral responsibility tied to that privilege, as there is legal liability. Call me crazy!!

Sounds a bit risky by the sounds of the struggle part but I'm glad it turned out well.

So its OK for the prosecutor to have a gun and to defend himself but the rest of Colorado can be disarmed and die.

After all, no one counts, except the children, and politicians.

Send the article to all the politicians that voted for the gun restrictions and ask if they think it is OK. I mean, with their mentality this guy would have been unable to defend himself and would be dead.

What do they think now about those gun laws and restrictions ??? Seems the DA's, and Dept of Corrections, are on the losing end in that state. Now , two DA's killed in Texas... and had his gun "in his bedroom". It's 'bad' that these things are happening... but they happen to people very day of the week who aren't DA's, etc. It may bring a new understanding level to the things we are talking about ...... be prepared ... and the need to carry, even at home.

Everything went like it should and the OPs post and his mindset on letting the BG live if possible is his to have.
Only part I ticked a bit on was OP saying CC OC RTKAB is a privilege. In truth though its being stepped on its our right.
