    The Bad gets Good!

GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. — Gwinnett County police officials have confirmed a barricaded gunman was shot and killed around 7:30 p.m. The gunman had been holding five Gwinnett County firefighters hostage Wednesday afternoon.
SWAT officers used “flash-bang” or concussion grenades to catch the gunman off guard as they entered the home. Officials said they exchanged gunfire with the gunman. An officer was wounded, possibly in the hand or arm. The firefighters suffered minor injuries and were transported to a local hospital.

The guy called 911 and reported a medical emergency (heart issues). Fire Department responded and the whole thing began. The police had people barricaded within their homes, and kept the area well cleared. Reports on the late news said they blew a hole in the wall and went in that way, instead of going in through a door.

Fortunately, it was not near me, but we watched it on TV almost all afternoon and early evening.

Apparently the perpetrator was involved in a foreclosure gone even worse than usual.

Started out with five hostages, but the perp sent one firefighter out to move the fire truck.

Latest word is that 2 firefighters are already at home and the other two will probably be released later tonight. The policeman is out of danger with a non-critical wound to his hand, but still at the hospital at last word.

Supposedly it was over financial problems. Just what is taking hostages supposed to do for one's finances?

Our news stations said the utilities had been cut off, so he took hostages to get them turned back on.

Yep, if he had lived he would be getting free room and board with never a worry about lighting outages for non payment.
