Home Invasion Victim Cuts Off Robber's Finger

A home invasion victim cuts off his attacker's finger with a sword, just as the robber tries to shoot him. Now police need your help to find the nine-fingered felon.
On November 4th, at around one in the morning, Guillermo Tovar's son heard a loud sound at the front door. When he went to see what was going on, he said two men kicked in the front door. Then the robbers pointed a gun at the son and demanded jewelry and money. At that point, Guillermo Tovar came up to the front room. The crooks knocked him unconscious with a gun. A few minutes later, Tovar came to, and grabbed his sword from under his couch. He told police one of the robbers started shooting at him, but he managed to swing the sword and cut off the shooter's trigger finger.
The robbers then ran off, but police were able to use the finger that was cut off to run prints. They say they were able to match the print off the finger to fingerprints in the database. Police are also looking for a second man who was involved in this home invasion. If you have any information, call Crime Stoppers at 528-CASH.

"I knew I shouldn't have let my buddy chop off my finger. He's always getting me into trouble. I won't ever let anyone else chop off one of my fingers again."
Great Job, Homeowner!!
This one probably ought to be posted over on BladeForums.com, too.

A true case of a victim ''fingering'' a bad guy
- but he was lucky even so to dodge a bullet.

Proof positive that all my swords and knives in easy reach arn't a bad idea. People who visit are less put off or scared seeing a sword on display then a gun.

Wow, guess the BG won't be shooting any time soon.

The BG Should Enroll...
in a self-defense weapons class. He won't have to worry about the instructor repeatedly reminding him to keep his finger off of the trigger.
For the BG this memory will certainly point to some bad experiences.
Will the victim be able to finger this guy in a line up?

Now that they have his print, they can look him up in an index of felons and learn his identity. That way they can put arresting officers in touch with him.
