This is a discussion on St. Louis Goes Crazy within the In the News: The Good, the Bad and the Ugly forums, part of the The Back Porch category; Triple Murder + Suicide Yesterday STL Police Commander Survives Ambushl Temperature skyrocketed to the 90's this week. I think people's brains are boiling....
Right! What the hell are people thinking... Glad I live on the outskirts, I really try to avoid the city at all costs; especially the north side.
Glad the cop did not get hit. Hearing shots going through the car side to side - WOW. Glad they caught the perps.
It's the Land of Opportunity, not the Land of Entitlements - Vote America!!!

He pulled over to see where he had been hit. I bet that was a moment he will never forget. All I can say is, Someone is living right.

It's good to see the weather getting blamed for all the violence instead of those nasty ole guns for a change

[T]he unlimited power of the sword is not in the hands of either the federal or state governments, but, where I trust in God it will ever remain, in the hands of the people. ---Tenche Coxe, The Pennsylvania Gazette, Feb. 20, 1788.
What do we expect from an immigrant community with a majority from country's that have such a low standard of living that human life is near worthless. A certificate of immigration is no substitute for the American cultural values of humanity, compassion, the sanctity of life and due process of law. Keep the doors wide open and the house fills up with trash!
The major "problem" with those who immigrate from other countries and cultures is that they remain that way. The Somalis in this story came to America with the hope of a better life but they failed to embrace our U.S. culture or even make the attempt to assimilate into it.
They keep their language, their religion and their cultural ways so they segregate themselves by doing that. We can expect them to behave like they did in the Old Country because of that self-imposed segregation. They want the freedoms of the U.S. but not our "culture." If that is all they want, to be free to continue to live like they did in Somalia, then why did they leave that paradise and come here? They can be Somali in Somalia.
We are not the "melting pot" that once was America, we are becoming small countries within this country. Immigrants for the most part are doing that by failing to accept our way of life.

The inner city and state problems of NY and Il. And other states are quickly migrating to Florida. When large segments of the population of these states relocate to Florida they seldom change their mindset. I attend my town's and many of the surrounding cities monthly commission/council meetings and it is most common to hear a resident stand before the commission /council and state that the city is not using the proper means to do what ever in the town/city and always add "we did it like this in NY or NJ" We have experienced on average of one murder per year in my town, all, in the past four years all have been committed by an illegal alien or a person that relocated from a city/state with a high crime rate. To add to the problem Florida seems to draw people from other states that have outstanding warrants. Highway US 1 runs through my town and a traffic stop by the local PD is seldom just a normal stop and never on US1 does an officer attempt to question the driver without a backup on scene....
We are fast becoming a country to be controlled, directly or indirectly, by the mass influx of illegal immigrants. There is not a day that passes without a news release about a demonstration by illegals demanding something or a representative presenting his new immigration bill that would allow amnesty for the >20 million presently in the states.
There is no need to remove travel restrictions to Cuba, just visit Miami, but bring an interpreter, a means of self protection and expect your car to be keyed/vandalized.

We, the People are the rightful masters of both Congress and the courts not to overthrow the Constitution, but to overthrow men who pervert the Constitution.
There aren't very many illegal aliens in St. Louis. Missouri doesn't give handouts to them like Mexifornia. I, at least, have not noticed a substantial population.
The city has a crime problem within predominantly African American neighborhoods, and also a bit in the neighborhoods that mostly are a mix of Asian immigrants, East European immigrants, and African Americans.
I'm no racist, I'm just stating the facts of where the crime is located. I know nothing about the Somalis in this article. I do know that the area that it happened is well known to be unsafe after dark if you wander off Cherokee street. Even on it I am hyper aware at all times.
