Whoa, we were in Baltimore for a wedding last weekend right by BWI airport. Luckily we weren't victims of any crimes.

But the chances of getting Shall Issue in Maryland are currently sort of slim and none! If you don't know about the Maryland Shooters web site I'd suggest you stop by over there and sign up to find out more about what you can do to help us improve the situation in Maryland.

I picked up my son at BWI on Friday and we took him and his son to the Aquarium at the Inner Harbor. My entire family was born in MD. I'm thankful that we moved to PA. Since I obtained my PA LTCF. I feel very uncomfortable traveling to ANY part of MD.

I experienced Inner Harbor of the late 1950's while station at Bainbridge and again in the 1990's. what a change from crime ridden slum area to a great attraction with many fine restaurants and sights.

Typically these things are criminals killing criminals so as long as they hit what they are shooting at it is helping solve a problem. The big problem is that most of those morons are very poor shots and end up hitting kids and innocents.

rstickle , our company applied for 4 permits one of which was a non-resident and received all 4 . It took far more then it should but i do what i can to try to help other people sign up to carry and take training . I donate money to the cause as well. I keep plugging away. And i did sign up at that website several weeks ago.

I agree! In 1983, I worked at USG&G, which is now the TransAmerica building , for a short period of time. I had a much more secure feeling then.

I spent a month in Baltimore one night.

There was a great HBO series about the Baltimore narcotics scene, and the Baltimore police. The wire, was probably one of the most realistic police procedural/soap opra's ever.

When I was new to policing I worked for the NY Housing P.D. Assigned to some of the roughest toughest housing projects in the Bronx, and in Harlem. My wife and I would vacation by driving through the south visiting our various relatives. I chatted up a B-more cop and found that they also had a housing police... I got one of his patches, and he directed me to the nearest housing project. I should have been suspect when he asked me if I had my gun... Well I found the Baltimore housing projects. This place made the worst project in the south Bronx look like a garden spot. The officer was in a scarred, bullet pocked, armored kiosk. She spoke to me through an intercom, and refused to recognize me as a fellow cop. Instead she berated me for taking up her time with such silly s#!+. I did escape the area in tact, and beat a hasty retreat back to my hotel... That was about 1976.... never been back since.

I am exactly the same way. Born in MD raised in PA. And hate going back down there. Sucks my job takes me down in MD a bunch. I wish they would recognize other states license.

All the drug dealers from "Ballmore" come to my town to sell. I hate that.

They are all over JL , now turf wars are going on . Its not bad when they get each other but most of the time they shoot and hit other people trying to make a living .And with the Governor he just abolished the death penalty. So the down turn is to come .
