So then 7 rounds wouldn't have been enough?

Unclear whether ten people were invaders inside the target home. Somehow I doubt it, but it's hard to tell from the reporting.

They need to rethink. Watching out for one another in a neighborhood is vital. And locking up doesn't stop doors/windows from getting breached.

Anytime, anywhere. Such things do indeed happen, and they very often happen with deadly weapons and deadly threats either made or carried out.

Use ball ammo and ask them to line up nicely.

Nobody needs an AR for home defense. Yeah, right.

And a select-fire variant might well have come in handy, in such circumstances. ~30 bullets flying toward the breach could make all the difference.

Well you see, shot placement is critical. I can shoot the hair off a knats ass all the time every time. No matter the circumstances, I NEVER miss....EVER! No need for new fangled high capacity guns. I'd rather have a MAN caliber that will stop the fight with one hit. I can handle any threat, any time, any day with the 6 in my revolver or 8 in my 1911.

Wait. There were 10 bad guys?

Isn't this when each of those shells in the 2x barrel having 9 pellets comes into play?

Huh. Something gun-related from NY that's actually good for the rest of us. A-maaaaaaa-zing.

Would that be MIRB's (Multiple Independent Reentry Bullets, sort of like MIRV's)?

Oh, even pulling the trigger one at a time, I'll make 'em duck.
