...long overdue...taking it to the shooter will lower the body count in most situations...waiting on the police has been proven to be deadly...
Hopefully it will be a start nationwide until all schools have trained staff that carry discreetly and nobody except the other carriers know who they are.
"Outside of the killings, Washington has one of the lowest crime rates in the country,"

Yeah that's a county over. I know lots of the players.
I wish that our school district would man up and do the same. Too many liverals to do it and most of them are about as worthless as certain features on a boar hog.
I would rather stand against the cannons of the wicked than against the prayers of the righteous.

School districts should announce they are allowing carry by trained teachers and staff. They should not allow anyone to know who are the folks that carry. This would protect the schools because the bad guys would pick an easier target because there is no way of knowing if someone in that school is carrying or who it might be. So even if no one in the school elects to carry the school is still more protected than it is today.
Good! I wish they would do this in PA
Though defensive violence will always be a sad necessity in the eyes of men of principle, it would be still more unfortunate if wrongdoers should dominate just men -St. Augustine
I found it interesting that the nay sayers all based their opinion on emotion. "Teachers should teach and leave the gun carrying to police". When will they start to look at this from a logical point of view instead?
What I think is great the teachers know the layout of the school, they know the kids and other teachers this is a plus because a officer comes in and is not sure of many things thus making it hard for them to sort out facts and waste valuable time. Well done Ak. you have set the bar, when will the rest get into the game ?
Congrats to this school district...as it should be in ALL school districts.
