Farmer, held hostage, shoots escapee who shot a LEO...

The farmer who was being held captive by an escaped convict who was armed, was able to get his shotgun, and shoot the perp... I Don't think the BG will escape his "prison" now.

I always like reading posts with a happy ending. Thoughts for the LEO and congrats to the farmer for a job well done.

And then the farmer said "I don't even HAVE a daughter".

Hope the deputy is doing okay.

If I could swing the freight costs I'd send that retired farmer a box of 00 Buck.

I'm wondering if the Farmer had 00 or bird shot in his shot gun?
That's where there are a lot of Pheasant in the fields.
Magnum Pheasant loads are nothing to take lightly.
Either way they did their job. But I can only imagine the mess on the floor, walls and furniture.
Rather than send the Farmer a box of 00 maybe we should pitch in and send Blackmon Mooring!

Damned few pheasants in Iowa any more... may be some in southern IA, but not like there used to be... no habitat, "climate change" and continuing to have a season when the stock is so depleted have contributed to the dearth of delicious birds.
