Besides the horror of the death---

I was speaking to a 30 something and mentioned the incident. He had no idea what the battle of Okinawa
was, when it happened, where it is, etc.

    Sad.

If the Union is once severed, the line of separation will grow wider and wider, and the controversies which are now debated and settled in the halls of legislation will then be tried in fields of battle and determined by the sword.

Read your kids books(my case grand kids) they are rewriting history, and people you never heard about BEFORE are NOW VERY IMPORTANT.

    They should be HUNG.

Vet survives WWII and Okinawa, only to be beaten to death by two punk 16yr old kids. Gotta die of something, but I don't imagine he thought kids would do it. Time for them to step up to the big-time: tried/convicted as adults, then given the a rope and told it's a courtesy for a "gentleman."

My friend, I about went thru the roof when I heard about this yesterday.

I am convinced that the laws have evolved to the point in our land where they preserve and protect those that need eradication. For if not, these types would become a true endangered species.

Back in my days in Spokane, the SPD was more of the "Shoot first, ask questions later" style. Things would not have gone well for these two--who would have stood out like raisins in a bowl of oatmeal in that community. The atmosphere in Spokane was strictly family first, thugs last.

But wait... how could an UNARMED 16-year-old kill someone?

I was in shock when I first read the story... I still am. It absolutely sickens me that anyone can prey on our elderly like this, it would be awful to happen to anyone, but when you add this man's history and service to our country into account as well - I can't put into words how horrific it is.

I'm fortunate where I work to interact with WWII vets from time to time and it's always awe inspiring to me, to hear their stories. To survive that, and give so much for our country only to have punks like this rob him of his last years... My heart just breaks for him and his loved ones.

I hate how we have to be politically correct in our treatment of criminals. So I am assuming we are going to spend some tax money on putting them up for a few years at a local prison long enough for these scum to rot into adult criminals and then release them back into society.. and all the while this Veteran wont get a fraction of the attention that other criminal cases get ?....America ?
