The best part of the story was the woman's will to prevail and survive. She did whatever she could to prevent them forcing her into the car where the would have probably raped and killed her.

The bad is this is a mall my family and I used to frequent. To have something like this happen in broad daylight in a busy shopping day just reminds me why I carry (and wish my wife carried too. Working on that...)

The evil people are getting bolder by the day with the 'nothing to lose' attitudes. There was an attempted car jacking/robbery here in my city. The BG approached a car waiting in a drive-thru restaurant lane. The doors were locked and the BG tapped on the passenger side window. When the lady inside did not respond, he raised his shirt to reveal a handgun in his waistband. The lady started honking her horn and screaming and the perp ran off. This all happened in broad daylight.

I'm thankful the lady fought back and came out a winner and survivor!

Many of the violent are getting bolder, with that "nothing to lose" aspect pervading many of these crimes. And, more often it seems, many crimes are being committed by multiple folks who ambush and overwhelm their intended targets. Something for all of us to keep in mind.

I'm glad the ladies are OK. These cars have been the object a crime. The rightful owners should be compensated and the cars compacted. Since the carjackers wanted to occupy these vehicles they should be inside for the process.

Too many BGs are used to victims not fighting back. You've got to respect someone's attempt to not be a victim, no matter what level of defense they use.

NEVER NEVER allow yourself to be taken to another location. It will only get worse! Fight Bite Claw Yell Kick ANYTHING. Do not allow yourself to be taken to a second location. If you are facing a gun it is better to take it on at that time than to allow yourself to be hauled off where something much much worse could and probably will happen.

One very lucky woman. "Fall to the ground and start screaming." It's not on my list of strategies, I checked.

    Very very lucky.

Yeah, I got tapatalk, too. So what?
    Rats!
    It could be worse!
    I suppose

Leave the BG in the car while it is compacted down to a cube. Capitol Punishment of the gruesome variety Mr OldnFat. Of course the owner of the vehicle used would be compensated first. If the car is at least 10 years old I'd say there would still be a cost savings to the city. Chalk it up to alternative court costs.
