I guess it's a good result, but a bummer to get pistol whipped after shooting the thief twice!!

    LOL! ^

I can't believe the clerk let him get close enough to disarm him. I hope the airsoft pistol with the orange tip was not the fake handgun used. If so, what an idiot (robber)! I hope he gets charged with assault with a deadly weapon/aggravated battery and armed robbery. Throw the book at him and the driver!

And that's as good an example as anything of why it's important to keep firing until the threat is erased. Some felons simply won't lie down by just saying "no." More's the pity.

Apparently the BG was highly irritated the store clerk's gunfire hit the BG. The BG was caught when he tried to get help at an area hospital.

sounds like this clerk needs a refresher course in use of firearms/.shooting com, or maybe a first time course probably.

The incident happened around 5:30 p.m. Monday when Bradley walked through the front door of the electronics shop in the 2900 block of West Devon Avenue and aimed the gun at the clerk and demanded money, police said.

Then the clerk reached into the safe and pulled out a real gun and fired twice, stopping only because the gun jammed, police said.

Bradley grabbed the clerk's gun and pistol-whipped him in the face and head, then ran out the store and jumped into a blue PT Cruiser driven by a woman, police said.

I'm gonna bet money that the gun was purchased loaded and never fired until then, after 2 rounds the gun jammed, could be several things including limp wristing.
This is why you need to make sure your gun will work when you need it

It would also be a good idea if people that may need to use a gun some day learn how to shoot a gun. He shoots twice, the gun jams and the BG takes the gun off him. Did he miss both times????
