That clerk sure is lucky that BG wasn't willing to catch a murder rap or else that little stunt of his would have reunited him with his maker.

This bad guy was obviously just using that gun as a prop with no intention of using it. Wish all BG's were like that, I wouldn't even need to carry then.

The clerk must have watched Crocodile Dundee a dozen times like Gramps did:

    "That's a knife!!!"

    Crocodile Dundee - That's not a knife - YouTube

Figured if the line worked in a movie he'd try it also. He was awfully lucky!
Getting old was not on my list of "things to do" in the Golden Years!

That clerk must have testicles of steel. Or he's just plain stupid. Whichever, it worked out for him. I would really like to have heard the conversation between the would-be robbers after they left the store.

Nothing wrong with the clerk grabbing his gun, he just should not have advertised anything...at least not until he unloaded on the BG's...
He should also have had it ON his person, thus not having to turn his back to the dirtbags coming in...OMO

Heh, that's actually pretty funny, though…

Soon as he reached for it, BG says "Screw this!"

That is a good way for a clerk to end up dead. When a person has a firearm pointed at you, it is time to give them the money and hope for a time they no longer have it pointed your way for you to make a move. 7lbs of pull and that clerk would have had a very very bad day. Don't expect that ever BG is going to run away just because you reach for a firearm.

On the flip side, don't expect every BG to pull the trigger just because they have a firearm pointed at you!

If you point a firearm at me, I am expecting you to pull the trigger. I will act accordingly and shoot at my earliest convenience.

It makes you wonder what each one of them was packin.

Bear in mind, that a lot of bad guys use fake or toy guns. May seem stupid but they do, likely because they found it usually works to make people hand stuff over. If you draw down on one of those, they will likely run for it.
Anti-gunners seem to believe that if we just pass enough laws, we can have utopia. Unfortunately, utopia is NOT one of our choices.
