The shooting appears good to the police and the witness for the other sides statements are not consistent with the evidence. Sounds good all round.

We are very lucky here in MI to have very strong Castle laws, glad it turned out good for the home defender....

What? You mean it didn't cost $30,000 for firing a bullet to defend himself (as another member has previously posted)?

Sad that the defender was shot also, but he did what he felt he had to do and did so successfully.

Well, we don't know how much it's going to cost him, yet. It just happened, the lawsuits could be months away.

But, yes, it seems he had little choice.

Humm I wonder if He could counter sue the perps parents for not being good ones, their friends for being a bad influence, and the law for not doing their job in apprehending them before he had to shoot them.... Oh dang but wouldn't the lawyers have a field day with that one (s)...

From a detached view, yes this was definitely a justified home defense shooting. Being realistic, this looks like dirt bag on dirt bag violence, that guy has quite a record and did some time in the joint. Given his priors (drugs), and where it happened (Oklahoma), I'm willing to bet meth paranoia played a part here.

Has anyone thought about he is a convicted felon with a gun?

This case is still under investigation and a lot more info will be found.

The guy is going to jail and he will need a lawyer for maybe more than one charge.

I may be misreading this but I don't think Debrosse was the renter it appears he was one of the men helping the woman move out.
