Will have to keep an eye on the follow-up, but from the little that was in the article, it sounds like a good shoot.

Gotta wonder why these people keep invading homes. It takes some nerve. And, they're so bad at picking them.

Not to hijack the thread, but as a Mod here it's refreshing to see a story posted that is actually about armed self-defense, and not just another crime story.

An update: They had tools of the trade Duct Tape, Ties (for Handcuffs) and weapons. This was pre planned and they intended not only to rob but to TERRORIZE them .

Yeah, one has to wonder...just as few weeks ago, a home invader hit a house during the day in the Houston area where the off-duty police officer shot and killed the intruder...officer worked night shift...

Sounds like a good shoot. In Texas do the surviving robbers get charged with the dead crooks murder?

Yes, he will most likely go down for the death of his friend.
And the Getaway Driver as well! But, he may face a lesser charge because he did not enter the residence.

We'll need to see the final result, but from the video it certainly sounds like a justified shoot. You don't show up at someone's door with weapons, hand ties and duct tape to sell girl scout cookies. The moment they tried to force their way in they became fair game.

Assuming the story is accurate, good for the shooter!
