The proper result.
The one who got away is now looking at capital punishment for Felony Murder....ANYONE who gets killed while a felony is going on, including a co-robber, lays the predicate for that charge.
And Louisiana law (when enforced, unlike Katrina days) is pretty freakin' stiff.
While I can't condone throwing beer bottles and bar stools once the threat has been stopped, I can't say I blame them.
Sucks to be that robber. Maybe if it happens to a few more of them, they'll realize that some of us won't just roll over and be victimized.

Seams to me justice was served. Think of all the money and future victims that were saved because one person decided to protect themselves and their business. Give this guy a medal , a beer or some more ammo!!
I don't see where that wasn't justifiable to continue to stop the threat! this guy was still moving around trying to get his gun, he could have had a second one, who know's? the other people there had no weapons to defend themselves so they used
what they know best, BEER!
ETA - No matter what any anti or news media say's about what transpired and/or what they think was justifiable actions, the fact is these thugs went looking for trouble and this time they or at least one of them lost and the people had a right to defend themselves. ALL of them had that right and it look's like they used it!

That is one the tax payers will not have to support. I hope the security guard gets a good bonus.
It could have gone the other way. Its good when ever the good guy wins. Give the security gaurd a bonus. He earned it.
