Glad he survived it all. It's amazing that the bullet ricocheted off his chest.

There are a lot of facts missing from that story - as usual the quality of journalism that went into drafting this article leaves something to be desired.

With this said, that is one lucky homeowner - he was shot 3 times and not only survived, but chased off his attackers. Have to wonder if the attackers were using .22's as well.

OK, more info just posted. That is one tough guy. He is shot 3 times and not only chases the BG's out, but follows them to get a license plate number. I like this guy, although he definitely needs to upgrade his weapons and might want to think about chasing 3 armed intruders.

People have to get the TV mentality out of their system. They broke into his house. He didn't have to come up with a wise-crack before defending himself. Glad to hear he's ok.

Good on the homeowner. Might get himself a bit more gun. And not exposing himself quite so much though he may not have any other choice depending on layout of his house, so he dont get shot again, but all in all yay for the homeowner.

Oh let the guy have a little fun if hes going to get shot. Just his timing was off on the wise crack. Should have been more like BANG BANG BANG "You picked the wrong house to rob."

Sure, let the guy have a little fun... But then, just like in the movies, bad things happen when you talk too much.

A violent situation is NOT a social interaction. Bring violence suddenly and silently when you must bring it.
