That last paragraph bothers me, hours of questioning and possibly facing charges for shooting someone who stuck a gun in his face?

There are only two times you can have too much ammo, when you are drowning or on fire. - I wish I knew the mans name who said this so I could give him credit!

And another one bites the dust. Doubt if he'll face charges if it really went down that way.

Not to worry guys. This is Texas and all shootings go to the Grand Jury. And good shoots like this one are no billed as fast as they are read to the Members. The Police questioning is done so the Cops can present a thorough account to the GJ so that it goes smoothly for the Victim. It's a procedural thing so that the Family of the Dead Bad Guy can't come back in Civil Court and try to sue the Victim for some stupid reason some Bottom Feeding Lawyer dreams up. Basically they are legally covering his behind for him.

Sad that the Victim wasn't already armed. Here in the Lone Star State we can carry and transport a loaded handgun concealed in our vehicles. A CHL is for carrying the weapon in public concealed away from the home or vehicle. Our Cars are considered our Castle. Guns in homes and cars are pretty Common. My wife has a loaded handgun in her car at all times but doesn't have her CHL yet. This Summer she says.

Most of us believe in Self Defense and most of the LEO's want it that way! At least that's what all my Cop Buddies tell me...

The ultimate corrections: no more BG. He won't be harming anyone else, from now on.

Kudos to the citizen for surviving the situation by doing whatever was necessary to prevail. That's what it takes.

Cause of death, acute failure of the victim selection process.

" The two began to struggle and the intended victim managed to wrestle away the would-be robber's own gun to shoot the suspect.

What exactly is she worried about? Being the victim of a carjacking, or attempring to carjack a guy, and having her gun used against her?
