Police posing as pizza driver kills teen
The Chicago Tribune reports that an undercover cop posing as a pizza delivery guy shot and killed a teen who tried to rob him.
Here’s the link:

Here is the part of the article that disgusts me:
But the restaurant owner whose call to police led to the sting said he wouldn't have done so if he knew someone would be shot.
"Somebody got killed, and it's not worth it," said Humberto Rodriguez, owner of Milano's Pizza, 8130 S. Kedzie Ave.
So, it would be better to let these punks keep on robbing citizens and putting their lives at risk that to stop the crime unless you can do it without killing the bad guys?

The anti gun nuts just keep getting nuttier every day. I wounder if the pizza shop owner Humberto Rodriguez would take a shoot to the head so the bad guy could get his free pizza, or do you think he would shoot the BG first?

A long <sigh> - what's a cop supposed to do - shake his hand, pat him on the back and hope for a peaceful arrest

If someone has to get hurt or die, I'd much rather it be the BG!!

Maybe that's a "cover your a**" statement made public to be used in court when he's sued by the dead punks family.

I Agree it has to be a CYA. If I was a coward I might just say the same. Or if not a coward just some sheep trying to run a biz and feed his flock. You know how the dead scumbags gangsta buddies may try to seek revenge. All the dude wants to do is sell some pies. It makes me sad that so many animals are out there attacking what they believe are easy targets.

Pizza and a shot. What a wonderful meal.
A person is justified in the use of deadly force, if such person reasonably believes deadly force is necessary to prevent imminent death or great bodily harm to such person or a third person.

What did the pizza shop owner expect. Too bad the BG got shot . He must have pointed a gun first. What about the delivery guy . It could have him. No body wants to see any one hurt but sometimes you have to face the facts.
