A 1911 is Not an obsession, it's simply a recognition that it's THE Gun. :-) All others are runner ups. And hey, if all else fails, aim for the nose and fling it to knock out your foe. Let's see y'all do that with a kel-Tec. ;-)

Holy cow! That clerk must have a vested interest in that store. Talk about Not on my watch.
And darn straight people need to start fighting back. Give criminals something to think about.
    That was incredible.

Welcome to Kentucky. The horses are fast. The basketball team is tough to beat. And the women will outwit, shoot & beat felons! I LOVE The Bluegrass!

It's not about having any interest in the store. It's about standing up for what's right and doing something about it.

That was impressive, but I can't help feeling she was really lucky. If the number two man hadn't immediately split or been armed (maybe he was?) that could have gotten really ugly.

The vested interest comment was said a bit tongue in cheek, as most would agree that scuffling with an armed robber is not in one's best interest.
There's a time to stand up for your rights, and there's a time to say here you go. She saw her chance and took it. And I applaud her for that.

Quite a few things we could arm-chair commando about "how to fight"

But she definitely has the courage!!!

That looked pretty cool on the video... she's just standing there, then "Oh hey, there's a gun. I'll just take that."

Mad props to her for being willing to fight. With some training, she will be a real scrapper.

I find the CCTV video interesting. Customers easily spotted what was coming (hoods, masks and heads-down) yet provided no assistance nor called 911 upon exiting the store? That's (IMHO) a bigger reflection on society's decline than...the robbery!

She then told him to leave and leave the money after the man pleaded for his life. However, as he walked by the register, he made another grab for the cash drawer. That’s when Adil chased after the man, grabbed him, and quickly threw him down on the ground.
    He failed to listen.

"He went on two legs, wore clothes and was a human being, but nevertheless he was in reality a wolf of the Steppes. He had learned a good deal . . . and was a fairly clever fellow. What he had not learned, however, was this: to find contentment in himself and his own life. The cause of this apparently was that at the bottom of his heart he knew all the time (or thought he knew) that he was in reality not a man, but a wolf of the Steppes."
