Home invasion suspect shot by resident faces charges
BURLINGTON — A man police said was shot in the torso by a resident after he and others forced their way into a home in February was arrested Tuesday after he was released from the hospital.
Tele Richmond, 22, of 231 Kerr Chapel Road in Burlington, was charged with first-degree burglary, first-degree kidnapping, attempted armed robbery and assault by pointing a gun, according to Burlington police.
He received a $30,000 bond.
According to police, Richmond and three others stormed a home at 1109 Rosenwald St. during the early morning hours of Feb. 7.
They were trying to rob the residents at gunpoint, police said. But one of the residents, apparently acting in self-defense, fired at the suspects with a handgun, striking Richmond, police said.
The other three suspects fled on foot. But police found Richmond lying in the front yard.

Hoo Ahh!
This is the way robberies should be resolved.
As Cooper said, "The best resolution to armed robbery is a dead robber, at the scene.
Heroes are people who do what has to be done, when it has to be done, regardless of the consequences
"I like when the enemy shoots at me; then I know where the ******** are and can kill them."

"Apparently in self-defense"?
Doesn't seem there's any question about it.
