yep. "Guns don't kill people, waiting periods do." Good for him that he was able to get the upper hand. Hopefully, he'll be as fortunate if they try again.

    That was an amazing read!

For those like me who are at work and don't have half an hour to skim through twelve pages of postings below is a synopsis of what all went down.

As posted by the OP 'Aim4Myhead' at AR15.com

Ok so the other day i posted about a guy buying a gun wearing pink crocs...

The reason he wanted a gun was because a former employee stole from them and then he was fired. The employee then said they would hurt his family, throw acid in his wife face etc So he wanted to buy a gun for protection. No CCW so he has a 3 day wait. His Glock is still sitting on my shelf.

Yesterday two guys approached him in the drive way in the AM and pointed a gun at him and told him to go back inside the house. His wife was inside so he wasn't going to do it. He jumped the guy with the gun and disarmed him and shot him. Killed the guy right there. The other guy took off.

    Pink shoe badass

We are talking to the ATF to see if he can circumvent the 3 day wait because there are still several brothers of the family left who will most likely not be happy with him killing one.
Throughout the thread there are multiple references to this event in the local news:

    * Man shot dead in botched Cape robbery ID'd

Additionally the OP took it upon himself to loan 'Pink Croc' (the victim) his own personal sidearm, a CZ 40, while he awaits clearance toward his purchase. Also it's been discovered that the victim is a veteran of the German army.

A minor factoid, in Japan the color pink is associated with masculinity.

Geeez. I should have gotten the pink Crocs. I just couldn't find them in size 14's.

Hopefully the ATF will give him a pass, but I doubt it.

All this went down in sleepy little Cape Coral, right? My parents have property there and are thinking of building a house on it, about ten minutes from where this happened...

"As for the suspects, Carrol-Love does not appear to have a prior criminal record, but Shearod was arrested in the past for another homicide in 2005, as well as burglary and vehicle theft. It was not immediately clear why he was released after the 2005 homicide charge."

Wonder what the sordid story is here?

i'm very glad that the intended victim of these vermin is OK. He has a lot of guts. It is a very sad commentary that a law abiding person in this country, who has been threatened by some scumbag, is not allowed to buy a gun with which to defend himself and his family.

    i gotta puke.

This is the update from page 14

    UPDATE for a 2nd time...

This is the best information in the world....

A person who worked the scene and who is a good customer here shared some awesome info.

The dead bad guy was wearing a shirt that said " Murder King, Have it your way"
I guess he had it his way....
he had baggy pants on and when he started to run his pants fell down around his ankles and tripped. He was NOT shot in the back. he was shot in the side. It was a 38spl s&w. One round entered the left lung and continued into his heart.

I'm glad we have a site where civility is the name of the game. I was interested in the story but hated reading from that other forum. I'm not forum bashing... just glad we have standards here.
