Would be Victim turns tables on Robber..

    http://wokv.com/news/local/072307_robberygonebad.html

Looks like the victim was pretty aware of what was going on around him. The article doesn't give a ton of details but the victim saw the would be robbers coming and fired first.

Score one for the good guys.

So how is this a "robbery gone bad"? Sounds like a perfectly good out come to a bad situation.

    +1 for the good guys.

I agree with your statement. Which breeds the question to the news media; "What is a robbery gone good?"

It sounds like they are applauding the success of robbers like it was a valid profession. What's next graduation ceremonies at the State Prison??

I'm confused. The shooter has been identified and in talking with police, but at the start of the article, detectives are still looking for the shooter? Is this two separate incidents or one?

It almost sounds like a BG tried to rob this guy while two of his friends stayed in the getaway van. The would-be robber got shot, but I unclear on how the two in the van ended up dead. Did they try to run the GG down after he shot their buddy?

I'll be keeping an eye out for more details on this.

Good riddence to young Tommy Lee Kenedy. Many future victims were spared and society gets to save a lot of money.

Too bad his name will be added to the statistic of all the unfortunate "children" killed by firearms in America.

Very confusing report. The reporter must be smoking crack!

Tried to paint victim in aggresive role and bad guys deeds as fairly innocuous.

I'll reserve comments to "it looks like robbery foiled, good guy survives."

    Need more details! Crappy article!

This article must have come from one of those "a thousand monkeys with a thousand typrewriter" experiments....at least I hope no paid journalist wrote that utter nonsense (and at least one paid editor reviewed it before allowing it to be published).

I now know less about what happened then I did before reading the article. What is it with the horrendous "journalism" on the boards today?

On the plus side, it appears that Jacksonville is a few thugs fewer today. At least, I think so...
A man fires a rifle for many years, and he goes to war. And afterward he turns the rifle in at the armory, and he believes he's finished with the rifle. But no matter what else he might do with his hands - love a woman, build a house, change his son's diaper - his hands remember the rifle.

This HAS to be 2 separate incidents. But, with the poor quality of this article, that is not stated clearly. A simple, "in a separate incident..." would have gone a long way toward clarity.

Of course, IMHO, clarity would have improved the headline as well.
"Teen robber killed" would be less inflammatory than the obligatory
    "Another Teenager Killed in _________."
