Two dead in south Louisville shooting
    The Associated Press

    LOUISVILLE, Ky. --
Police say two men are dead after an early morning shooting in Louisville.

Police spokeswoman Alicia Smiley says it appears the men were attempting a home invasion at an apartment complex, and got into a confrontation with the resident.

Smiley says the resident appears to have shot both men. She says the resident suffered minor injuries and is being questioned.

Smiley says the two men who were shot died at the scene.

Good for the resident. I hope Kentucky's laws back him.

We do have the "Castle Doctrine", as well as the "no duty to retreat law" on the books. If it was a legitimate self-defense issue, the GG won't have any problems. It has happened quite a few times in KY. I have never heard of any charges being filed in cases like this. Louisville is going downhill though, so we'll see. I grew up there, but don't necessarily want to move back. Out here in the boonies, it wouldn't be an issue at all.

Sounds like a righteous shoot to me. If Ky laws are similar to Fl's and it was truly a home invasion (not drug deal gone bad scenario) then GG shouldn't have any problems. GG-2 BG's-0
If a BG's life problem is trying to impose his violent criminal intent upon me or my loved ones, then I will be the solution to that problem.

Like my instructor always says... PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE!

Apparently this resident (now pool cleaner) did just that!

That just about says it all. No smiles, but a not-inappropriate result for lethal-force assaults on citizens.

Home invasion is a particularly 'nasty' crime...
I believe that all home invaders become HUGE lead magnents (if it were possible)...
    These two were...

    Hey Hey !!

Must have had some good instructors/practice sessions to take two down with one bullet each. Give that man a box of cigars. Sooner or later, these hammerheads are going to realize their occupation has a very high risk of lead poisioning. Pool is cleaner by 2.
A person is justified in the use of deadly force, if such person reasonably believes deadly force is necessary to prevent imminent death or great bodily harm to such person or a third person.
