    Castle Doctrine in MS

    Jackson Mississippi has a 'new law called the Castle Doctrine' which allows people to defens their homes from burglary?

    'continued to shoot the man as he ran away' is not what I'd call a recommended practice (unless shooting back at a fleeing perp).

    'exited his front door and confronted the suspects firing several shots' is not the smartest tactic either, but the police were happy to catch the BGs

    Castle doctrine laws or not, firing on a fleeing BG can get you into big trouble with the law. Once the treat is over, use of deadly force makes you the criminal.
