Man shot, killed attempting to carjack security guard

    Updated: Nov 13, 2007 07:44 PM

    Luis Cruz reporting.

A suspect is dead after messing with the wrong person Tuesday morning. North Las Vegas Police say a man tried to carjack a security guard at about 6 in the morning near Gowan and I-15.

The intended victim and the suspect got into a shootout. The security guard was taken to the hospital with a minor wound. The suspect was taken to UMC where he later died.

Police say the security guard may not face any charges, because it appears he was acting in self defense.

Well, duh. No kidding. How about, the security guard WILL NOT face any charges because he was defending his life and property from an idiotic carjacking thug.

Yeah that opening line sets the appropriate tone for the entire article. Wish more articles were written like that.

Please, we must be politically correct and sensitive to the feeling of the sheeple.

We should not say the felon was shot dead, or killed.

We should say he was rendered living impaired, or biologically challenged. It sounds so much less harsh.

How can he be a suspect if he is dead? Is the DA gonna charge the corpse with a crime?
