If this had been the case and he was out in 31 years, would he have paid his debt to society and should he be allowed to vote and carry a gun as I have heard argued many times? This is the problem I have with the argument about a felon having paid his debt to society. Mrs. Weiss would be paying for his crime the for rest of her life while he enjoys all the rights of a regular citizen.
