Cool Robbers invade home, shoot resident, 73

This occured a few miles from where I grew up.
Not much reported for something that happened three days ago.
It appears though that the homeowner is still alive and one of the BG's left some DNA behind. Hopefully this will help in the investigation.

Travis County detectives are searching for two people in an aggravated robbery and home invasion that happened three days before Christmas.

Investigators say two people entered a home on Old Manor Road because they thought it was abandoned. The 73-year-old resident was shot, and the robbers stole a wallet, two long guns and possibly a social security card.

The guns were described as old and in poor shape. One is a Harrington Richardson, single shot, 20-gauge shotgun. The other is a Winchester, single shot, 22-caliber rifle.

Two of the victim's friends found him Saturday morning and drove him to the hospital.

Detectives say they believe one of the suspects is in his mid 20s, but other than a black knit stocking hat with grey trim left at the scene of the crime, nothing else is known about the suspects.
