Charges Dropped Against Robbery Victim
http://www.thepittsburghchannel.com/...20/detail.html
A would-be victim who fought back during an attempted robbery at his East Third Street home in Langeloth, Washington County, is no longer charged with attempted homicide.
On Sept. 1, Eraldo Iannitelli, 48, was allegedly attacked outside his home by two teens wearing masks, carrying a baseball bat and BB gun.
Iannitelli said the two teens demanded money.
After being hit several times, Iannitelli said he reached into his car, grabbed a shotgun and fired once, hitting a 16-year-old in the back.
On Wednesday, all charges were dropped against Iannitelli.
Why was he charged in the first place? How nice would it be if the victim could sue the dead kids family to recoup his legal costs?

The charges could have stemmed from his having a loaded shotgun in his car. It might have been much different if he had defended himself with a handgun and possessed a carry permit. Anyway, it sounds like a justified shooting and I'm glad charges were dropped.

In Washington state if you are found innocent by reasons of self defense the state reimburses your legal cost, including lost time and other expenses associated with proving your innocence. Every once in awhile this state does something right

The article said the guy is...
...is no longer charged with attempted homicide.
Maybe I'm wrong but that charge does not sound related to having a loaded shotgun in the car.
Sounds to me it was an over zealous DA.
Langeloth, Pa has a population of only about 600. I wonder who charged the guy?

If I just had my bell rung with a bat, I get a hold of a gun I am shooting the silhouette, at least the one in the middle.
This brings up an interesting point...New topic
