And I'll hold their guns for them while they're in jail (and after, because then they'll be convicted felons!) - everybody wins!
A man fires a rifle for many years, and he goes to war. And afterward he turns the rifle in at the armory, and he believes he's finished with the rifle. But no matter what else he might do with his hands - love a woman, build a house, change his son's diaper - his hands remember the rifle.

Nice thought. But, in reality, when the media decides this gun-related incident has lost it's sensational newsworthiness, and the legal aspect has become history, Sheriff John Marvel and his boys will quietly take possession of these semiautomatic firearms because only "qualified professionals should be able to possess such dangerous weapons".

BTW, I own a Hi-Point 9mm carbine, which is one of the firearms being demonized on public display in the news photo. And I just purchased a Kel-Tec Sub 2000 9mm carbine. Of course, the anti-gun media twits would have everyone believe it's illegal for private citizens to possess those "evil black semiautomatic assault weapons".
And Jesus said, "If you don't have a sword, sell your cloak and buy one." (Luke 22:36)

Your right for the most part, but there are times when I have drank and shot guns. This is at deer camp, and no one was hurt, or even placed in a possition that was compromising. Then you also have people who can't handle guns even when sober, so I can't say as a blanket statement that guns and alcohol should never be mixed. That would make me a hypocryte. But I can say that some people sober or not, are just stupid and probably don't need guns.
Just remember that shot placement is much more important with what you carry than how big a bang you get with each trigger pull.

Intelligent individuals realize the vast majority of gun owners are responsible citizens.

Sometimes I wonder about that and what is the definition of responsible. I know too many doofusses that own guns to really say the majority are responsible gun-owners. They may be responsible citizens but too many don't know how to safely handle a gun, even those who have been hunting and shooting all their lives. Just like dirving a car I see too many irresponsible people out on the road. I understand what you are saying but I really doubt that the average gun owner could tell you the four rules of gun safety.

And in those famous words of almost every sheriff being interviewed about the lastest stupid crime "Alcohol was involved".

These guys are idiots and need to suffer the appropriate consequences for being idiots, but lay off the hysterics. An empty building was hit in the middle of the night. Would there have been the same response/outcry if it had been an old warehouse? Let it go.
It could be worse - like maybe having an F-16 strafe the school!

I gotta ask, were these guys Hispanic?

We had a one shot - two killed New Years Eve here in Denver. Thread here http://www.defensivecarry.com/vbulle...ad.php?t=38687
Link to local news interview of the brother of the shooter updated here http://cw2.trb.com/news/kwgn-two-kil...,5552082.story.

Same stupid crap, shootin' the guns during the holiday. Every major holiday here in Denver, several reports of shots fired and property damage and injuries, 99% of the time Hispanic (illegal immigrants) responsible.

The Riley community is mostly Caucasian, so I doubt it. Sadly, our PC media is reluctant to mention the race, or ethnicity of those suspected of criminal activity for fear of being labeled as
    racists.

Exactly so. Particularly having been done in the middle of the night which, at least, suggests they had some appreciation for the fact that fewer people would be around. That's about the only thing they did right, but they did do that.
