Another Pizza Delivery Guy Shoots Back
News 14 | 24 Hour Local News | HEADLINES | Pizza man shoots robbery suspect
CHARLOTTE -- A pizza delivery man fought back after an attempted robbery late Tuesday night in east Charlotte.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg police say the man was delivering pizza around 9 p.m. to an address at the Greenbrier apartments off Sharon Amity Road, near Eastland Mall.
When the customer tried to rob him, police say the delivery man fired shots then reported the incident. The victim was lying on the grass when police and paramedics arrived. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The shooting happened around 9 p.m. at the Greenbrier apartments off Sharon Amity Road, near Eastland Mall.
This marks the fourth homicide in Charlotte through the first eight days of the year.
“Only eight days into the year and already this is our fourth homicide," said CMPD Officer Bob Fey. "It’s troubling and it’s definitely a concern."
Police have not said if the delivery man will face charges. They have not released the name of the person killed at this time.
Hopefully things turn out well for the driver.

The article is incorrect - the "victim" wasn't lying on the ground. The victim was standing over the bad guy after protecting himself.

The liberal news is starting to really tick me off.
Honor, Courage, Virtue. These are what makes a man.

Another article with more information is here.
Snipped from the article:
Neighbors say he was the victim of a robbery gone bad.
"Nobody has that coming-it's actually sad," said another neighbor.
Nice. The robber is a victim (as pointed out in the first article).

Karl Walker lives down the street from the shooting, he said, "if someone's trying to attack you or rob you, whether you're a pizza person or just me walking the street, you should defend yourself."
Way to go Karl. Hopefully you won't be mobbed by your liberal neighbors.

I've been sick of this for years but lately I'm unable to let it go by anymore.

All to often the real victim and the "victim" get confused. If someone is injured or killed after THEY started something the only way they can be called a victim is if you are referring to their own poor judgment. I have no doubt that the media will continue to mix this up.
It's never the robbers fault for getting shot, or bludgeoned, or falling through your skylight. It's societies fault. But you have to pay the bill.
The delivery man did well, hopefully the judicial system (if it comes to that) will agree.

The BG killed in the robbery attempt and the pizza still delivered in less than thirty minutes...right on time...great work...
