abc7.com: A teenaged robber was shot in Watts by his intended victim 2/10/08

WATTS (KABC) -- A teenager robber was shot and killed in Watts Saturday morning.

According to a police spokesperson, 17-year-old Joe Beck was hiding behind a pole in the 1200 block of East 140th Street, waiting to hold-up his intended victim.

Moments after approaching the victim, who was in his vehicle, Beck produced a gun and demanded money.

The victim--also armed--produced a weapon and shot the suspect in the chest. Beck later died at an area hospital.

Police are still investigating details of the shooting.

The intended victim's name has not been released.
Wow, a second story about someone in Kalifornia using a weapon to defend themselves.

The intended victim must have been one of the very lucky few with a CA CWP. Else he will probably be charged with illegal transportation of a weapon. Props to him though for ridding the world of one more BG

Maybe a few more good shoots like this and California will come around.

Ok, seriously now, I'm sure these guys are going to fry for using their deadly weapons on those poor misunderstood thugs.
