    Possible Self-Defense Shooting in Lexington

Man says shooting was self defense

    LEXINGTON, Ky. --
A man is claiming self defense after police say he shot and killed a Montgomery County man.

Police say 27-year-old Mike Dunn fatally shot 46-year-old Greg Rudd on Sunday. Dunn tells WKYT in Lexington that he had no choice but to shoot Rudd.

Dunn says Rudd pointed a gun at him and threatened to kill him before he fired.

He says he went to find out why Rudd and another man were on his property without his permission. And when he approached the men, he says they began arguing.

Police have not made an arrest in the case but they are still investigating.

Dunn says he hopes Rudd's family can forgive him.
Seems pretty stupid to me for Dunn to be making statements to the press.

    I don't know,sometimes public opinion decides weather a D.A. will press charges.
We have all seen the media twist a story however they want.
I don't know how much detail I would go into, but I would probably let it be known I was in fear of my life, and he had a weapon.
I can't see how it would hurt the leo in the investigation.
It's better then them saying " john doe shot and killed whoever tonight" IMO

The outcome may depend on what the other person involved has to say about the whole thing.
