Indian Springs, Fl. home invasion
Indian Springs Home Invasion - FOX30Online.com Jacksonville News Leader
There's no video link....yet... to this story that ran during last night's evening news, but in the interview, the woman, her face hidden to remain anonymous, said her husband wasn't home, and travels frequently for work, when the invasion occured. At the end of the interview she said there is a gun in the house but she has no experience with it but NOW will begin going to the range and take a training course to become more proficent and better able to protect herself. Wish it didn't take an event like this to open eye's.

Another victim who sees the importance of using a firearm for SD...after 'gaining' experience...
So many people think it will never happen to them, or in their neighborhood...
Well, now she knows...
Glad she did not get hurt, hope she knows how to use that weapon NEXT time...

Here's an example of the police response being quick enough, and the intruder being drugged up enough, that the intrusion didn't harm the intended victim. She's lucky beyond belief. Good thing she had her eyes wide open. Many simply open the door, sit and gawk while they're attacked, or hang around as if a call to 911/police will result in 30sec response times. Hopefully, she learns from this. Anytime. Anywhere.

Thoughts: Justifiable self defense.
Explain: How does
disarming victims
reduce the number of victims?

Most people who graduate from the School of Hard Knocks are not nearly as lucky as this lady. Hope she ran right out and bout a lottery ticket.
