That really bugs me that they keep calling her a 'security guard'. She was a private citizen with a CHL carrying her own firearm. I beleive she was part of a 'security team' formed by volunteers, but not a paid security guard. But of course the media plays it out that way. You know, how could a private citizen manage that?

She is one heck of a tactful lady in addition to being a hero.
I would really like to see longer analysis and interview with her about the situation. There is a heck of a lot more to learn that can be portrayed on a TV newscast.

In spite of wanting to see such a show I hope she keeps her humility and privacy.

It may have been a 30 yard shot, my only reservation is that most lenses on video cameras are wide angle and tend to exagerate the perceived distance.
No matter what, she showed grace under fire and not a bit of swagger when recounting her story.
    A hero in every respect.

Earlier I counted their paces as they walked from the doors to the water fountains and IIRC it seemed to be very generally about 45 feet. I don't think it matters exactly how far it was but it does suggest that practicing at extended ranges is not a complete waste of time.

I pray that I never find myself in that circumstance but that should the need arise I could respond with equal skill and valor.
