Stupid man, lets count stupid things he did.

    1) Fired warning shots

    2)Chased suspect down.

    3) Ran over suspect 3 times

I'm glad he is in jail.

Wow, so much stupidity in such a short article. First, if you are being robbed at knifepoint, "warning shots" are a bad, bad idea. Second, DON'T CHASE THE BAD GUYS! Once the threat is over, your legal right to use lethal force is (in most cases) over as well. Third, overkill is generally a bad thing. It's not going to look good to a jury, that's for sure. I have a strong suspicion that Mr. Moretti is going to lose a lot more than the contents of his wife's purse...
A man fires a rifle for many years, and he goes to war. And afterward he turns the rifle in at the armory, and he believes he's finished with the rifle. But no matter what else he might do with his hands - love a woman, build a house, change his son's diaper - his hands remember the rifle.

Obviously the guy didn't want just stop the attack, but he also wanted to turn the table. This guy is no better then the robber. Don't get me wrong, if he would shot the robber at scene of the crime, all the power to him. But you can't chase after the guy then try to kill him....
I believe in gun control...... Thats why I use TWO hands.

A guy that can't control himself. I'd hate to be around him when he gets mad. Strikes me as a guy that breaks things when he is in a bad mood.

It gives people that carry and act responsibly a bad rap.

Bad guy takes off; you win. End of the story. Some people haven't internalized the concept of self-defense. They think it's a green light to carry out a mini-vendetta.

Well the robber died this morning. Now the police are investigating this as a homicide. No gun charges were filed so he must have had a ccw permit, I don't see how he was carrying a firearm without one and not charged.

This makes people who defend themselves look bad. Maybe he should of taken anger management classes first before going for a ccw if he indeed had one. Life and health of yourself and loved ones is more important than material goods. It looks like he may get an extended period of time to think about that.

    Update:
Turns out the guy did not have a CCW, but isn't facing a gun charge. Instead he was arrested today for 1st degree murder.
