Memphis, TN - Police say a South Memphis man was rushed to the hospital after being shot several times during a home invasion.

According to investigators, a man flagged down an officer in the 2200 block of Dunn Avenue, around 3:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 26, 2008, in South Memphis and said he had been shot. Police say they followed a trail of blood that led them to the Thompson Court Apartments in the Castalia Community, where they believe the victim was shot.

After searching the apartment, police believe the man was shot three times during a home invasion robbery.

The victim is in Critical condition at the Med.

Police say they do not have anyone in custody at this time.

If it happened at the "Gardens" or the "Courts" or the "Homes" in Memphis, it has to have been bad. It does make sense that the guy had to tell the popo he was shot. Most of the shootings in these areas never make the news though.
