Good for the driver, and hopefully he faces no legal issues.
PITTSBURGH - Police say a Pittsburgh cab driver fatally shot a passenger who allegedly tried to rob him.
Authorities say the shooting occurred Saturday night in the city's Hill District after the passenger had been picked up downtown.
During the robbery attempt, the Yellow Cab driver pulled out a gun and a struggle ensued over the weapon.
Police say the passenger was shot and killed during the struggle and the cab driver suffered an injury to his arm. The driver was taken to a hospital for medical treatment.
Police did not release the name of the driver or the passenger.
The driver was licensed to carry a gun.

Hurray for the driver!
And -- in your face, to the crowd who claims you should always give in to the criminal so as to "not get hurt". To them I say, YOU can do that way if you wish -- and I wish you good luck. But that isn't what I'm going to do, if I believe fighting is an option.
