I remember a few years back we had a similar problem here where I live with a couple of volunteer firemen acting out their fantasies of glory. At the time, my wife was a dispatcher for the county sheriffs' department and used to complain bitterly about the guys. One night she came home with a big smile on her face, and when asked, she told me that the guys had shown up on an accident involving a drunk driver. The DPS troopers had arrived at the same time, and advised the 2 guys to stay back as it was a crime scene; when they kept interfering, one of the troopers promptly arrested them both and took them both to jail with the drunk driver.

Subsequently, the County Sheriff had a meeting with all of the fireman wannabees and informed them to stand down.....

what on earth is a PI license anyway? Does it actually have any real powers or is it more like some license (aka contractor's license) that just shows that you have a legit business?

I was wondering if I could pull this off with my religious Air Force ID badge. I'd put the lights on and the siren and I'd go around the beltway busting guys for sinning.
