    Here we go again...another nutjob

    Here we go again...another nutjob:
Police: Man threatened to re-enact Virginia Tech-style killings - CNN.com

I'd like to know what this is:
Wong had 13 firearms in all, more than 5,000 rounds of ammunition, some that could pierce armor, and 100 rounds in a feeding clip with bullets "meant to take down aircraft or military machinery," Aquino said.
"My God David, We're a Civilized society."

"Sure, As long as the machines are workin' and you can call 911. But you take those things away, you throw people in the dark, and you scare the **** out of them; no more rules...You'll see how primitive they can get."

I need to get me some of those. Pesky loud airplanes keep flying over my house to land at the airport nearby.

Sad that another person wanted to go through with an attack like that. Sad, but not unexpected I guess.

I do not know what it is but it sounds ominous. Some one has made up a phrase designed to scare the sheep out of their wits.

His last statement was right on the mark.

Why can't these dumb's go straight to the end of the story. Off themselves first. Save us the trouble.

and found the weapons in stacked on shelves in plain view
Fire this reporter and editor, NOW. Not only is the story seriously screwy on the facts (please show me the AK that fires "anti-aircraft" ammo, from a 100rd "clip"), it's simply poorly written. "In stacked on shelves?" Any first grader should be able to put together a better sentence than that...
A man fires a rifle for many years, and he goes to war. And afterward he turns the rifle in at the armory, and he believes he's finished with the rifle. But no matter what else he might do with his hands - love a woman, build a house, change his son's diaper - his hands remember the rifle.

Ok, this guy shouldn't have made these comments, that was bad. M'kay.

Other than the comments he made, I don't find anything wrong. How many of us have more guns and ammo in our safes than he had? From his statements, he sounded like it was an investment because of fears of an assault weapons ban.

CNN in one of it's teasers said he had "machine guns", but I found nothing anywhere saying he had anything illegal. AP rounds aren't illegal. And what are these bullets that are made to shoot down airplanes? Scare tactics by the media.

Apparently he was frustrated because people stopped selling him guns online because he was 20, and he had been banned from some sites. If it was all due to his age, I fully understand being upset. If it was because he was making "unstable" posts in the forums or something else, then maybe he really is a nutjob. I think we need more information before we condemn him. Even being upset, you still can't make threats like that, he did do that wrong. But other than that, I think he's being tried in the media with "scary", sometimes inaccurate information.

Wong was charged with making written threats to kill or do bodily injury via the computer and bonded out for $7,500. Additional charges are pending, he said.
They apparently do not think he is to much of a threat or they would have required more than $7,500 dollars for bail.

Homestead, Oregon. This putz is no homey of mine, I'm happy to say. Of course, the shootings in Springfield some years ago are nothing to laugh at, and that was done by young putzes far younger than this guy.

We had discussed about the risk of what you say coming back to haunt you? Well, here's a good example: don't credibly threaten others in writing, in public.

Interesting to me is the "dead" eyes in the photo. Has much the feel that Cho's publicized pics did, from the VT shooting. Flat, dead, disconnected, as if focused tightly on something inside the head.

I believe it was Homestead, Florida. Oregon police dicovered it, but he lived with his parents in Homestead, Florida.

CNN distorts facts - it sells more. I wonder if these truly are AP rounds or if CNN is applying Ted Kennedy's definition of "armor piercing round." Teddy (back in the day) defined AP as any round that can pierce aluminum (soda cans)!
