Valedictorian Supports Cop Who Shot The Thug On Campus
So I posted the story earlier this week about the Cop that was forced to shoot a student on campus, in a nearby community. Today I read the following letter from the Valedictorian of that same school. I was just about to give up completely on our public school system and then something like this comes around and gives you pause.
Roosevelt shooting draws fire from readers

As cops see the world
A kid got shot at my school Wednesday. The kid was wielding a broken-off bat at a cop's head. The officer had to draw his second gun, probably saving his life. The kid is dead.
This is what students from Roosevelt High School know. And yet they sit, complaining, saying the officer should've tried to shoot the limbs of the attacker.
Look, I'm not in any way a professional. I don't even claim to know much more than those people addicted to "CSI." But I'm in the forensic criminology program at the Center for Advanced Research and Technology. We've had cops and psychologists come in to teach us about the world as cops see it. Sure, the officer can try to shoot limbs. More likely, the officer will miss and be dead.
So all of you out there, sitting chill in your chairs accusing the officer of doing wrong in that confrontation, try sitting less chill. If that officer hadn't stopped that kid, the kid would've finished with that target and probably moved on to a new punching bag -- one of my friends. One of yours. Maybe even you.
By the way: Happy Virginia Tech anniversary. I wonder what we'll get on Columbine Day?

With kids like this there is still hope!!
We will be much better off when we learn to deal with things as they really are, instead of how we wish them to be!

As far as i see it the ikids complaining about another kid getting shot is probably because they feel what he did wasn't that big a deal and that they would do the same thing, but get shot for hitting somebody with a stick well now that ain't right i should be able to beat you with a stick and not get shot for it.Like i said before my trigger finger don't stop pulling the trigger til the threat stops ie BG on ground and I'm pretty sure he's gonna have a few holes in his chest

From a previous post:
"...he will be missed at his school by the majority."
The majority of the students at all schools are good people, and this young lady has the guts to stand up against the 1%, no wonder she's the valedictorian! ...Too bad we can't replace her for our female presidential candidate.
