A masked, black-clad robber shot a Kendall man in the back as his baby slept upstairs, Miami-Dade police said.
About 5:10 a.m., two robbers, both armed, burst inside the house at 17701 SW 110th Ct. through an open door.
Downstairs, they held Raymond Amador, 24, and his girlfriend at gunpoint. One robber ransacked upstairs.
''A baby is upstairs sleeping while this whole thing took place,'' said Miami-Dade Detective Juan Villalba, a spokesman.
After the robber returned to the first floor, Amador got into a fight with the pair. One shot him in the back, detectives said. He suffered a ``nonfatal gunshot.''
The robbers escaped on foot.
