Would-be robber shot, killed in Boca RatonBy Jerome Burdi South Florida Sun-Sentinel 1:50 PM EDT, May 7, 2008 Boca Raton

A would-be robber was shot and killed about 1 p.m. in the Town Square Plaza, in the 21000 bock of St. Andrews Blvd., police said.

Police Assistant Chief Edgar Morley said three would-be robbers got into a confrontation with two jewelry couriers in the plaza during which one of the would-be robbers was shot. He was taken to Delray Medical Center and pronounced dead.

It was unclear who fired the shot, but the other two assailants escaped in an unknown type of vehicle, Morley said.

    The couriers were not injured.

Police have blocked off St. Andrews Boulevard north of Verde Trail South near the scene and are searching for clues with dogs.

Bailiff kills armed suspect inside Florida courthouse
Associated Press 3:32 PM EDT, May 7, 2008 ST. PETERSBURG

Officials say a bailiff has shot and killed an armed suspect who opened fire in the lobby of the St. Petersburg courthouse.

According to officials, another bailiff was also wounded in the shoulder by Wednesday's gunfire, but the injuries are not life-threatening.

Pinellas County Sheriff's Sgt. Jim Bordner says the shooting occurred near the entrance to the courthouse, which is located in downtown St. Petersburg. Pinellas County Clerk of Court Ken Burke says none of his staff was injured.

Bordner said in a statement the man opened fire after approaching a security checkpoint.

The courthouse, which houses about 70 employees, is closed for the day.

Burke says it was fortunate no one was hurt -- a staffer emerged from an elevator just as the shooting was unfolding.

But seriously, what is it with Florida??????? Do they need to send more people Ted Bundy's way?
Any heinous crime, murder especially, or this violent unnecessary BS, let us throw the switch in a timely manner. Millions of citizens have to walk on eggshells around these people, and yet we will not take measures to ensure the safety of all.

While there has heen a Supreme Court Hiatus on "Florida ReHabilitation" crime rates have risen. Now that the Supremes have declared it not to be cruel and unusual I want to take Ron Whites advice and install an Express Lane to the "Florida Rehab Centers" This will get crime under control, We have volunteers to give the "ReHabilitation Injections" in this state :).

Actually I want to go back to the "Electric Rehabilitator" If we run it off Solar Power the liberals might even accept it, we can call it "The Solar Rehabilitator" and start doing them during the daytime :)

And some criminals deserve having it used with a dimmer switch.

If it saves energy, I am all for it. And the criminals could say well, I am not going to get a reprieve but I am going to get my voltage cut down!
