Woman Shoots Man Twice In Pelvis:
LAS VEGAS -- One woman is still being questioned by Metro police after she shot a man twice in the pelvis.

At 3:15 a.m. Friday, police received a call from a woman who said she was attacked near Maryland Parkway and Exley Avenue.

While walking in the neighborhood, the woman said that while the man was attacking her, she pulled out a small-caliber handgun and shot him twice in the pelvis.

He was taken to Sunrise Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Officers are still questioning the woman about the attack. They have not said if either person will face charges in connection with the attack and shooting.

When I was taking my CCW training some of the shooting drills included pelvic bone shots. It's probably one of the fastest ways to immobilize someone.

If she was actually being attacked as the article suggests, I would assume it was a draw from the waistband and fired from the hip.

Pelvic shot is a good tactic. If you are throwing a lot of lead, like a 230gr .45, you can break a bone and the target will collapse. Also, men tend to get unnerved when a firearm is pointed at their naughty bits.
